"Like most artists, I don't remember a time when I wasn't one," says Mike Latiolais.
Recognized around the country for numerous designs of South Louisiana festivals, life-like depictions of "Cajun" lifestyle, its landscapes and spectacular wildlife. Life-long passions working with mediums such as pen & ink, charcoal and acrylic have inspired him the most
Over the years, his drawings have included many works like commissioned artwork for the 1984 World’s Fair in New Orleans, numerous charcoal, pen & ink illustrations and portraits of celebrities like past Louisiana governor Edwin Edwards. Mike's portfolio is also filled with works including album covers for bands like the legendary "Boogie Kings," who are best known for the genre "Blue-Eyed Soul," and the legendary Ms. Pat Strazza of "Down Pat."
In 2008, valuable and remaining original works of art were painstakingly restored after surviving a fire that totally destroyed his home. Now for the first time limited edition prints are available, numbered and signed for all enjoy and collect.
